Every cookie we can set, in one table.
Short, because there is not much to say. One cookie needs your permission, three settings need none, and nothing here is shared with anyone.
What a cookie is here
A small piece of text this site asks your browser to keep and hand back on your next visit. We use it for one thing only: telling a returning visitor from a first-time one, so we can see whether what we publish is worth publishing.
Needs your permission
| Name | What is in it | Why | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
ordia_vid |
A random number. No name, no address, nothing that identifies you. | Counting visitors rather than only visits. | 180 days |
Set only after you press Accept, and deleted the moment you decline. Refusing changes nothing about how the site works.
Needs no permission
These are not cookies at all: your browser keeps them locally and never sends them anywhere. They exist because without them the site would forget your own choices every time you open a page.
| Name | What is in it | Why | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
ordia-lang |
The language you picked. | So the site opens in it next time. | Until you clear it |
ordia-theme |
Light or dark. | So the page does not flash the wrong one. | Until you clear it |
ordia-consent |
Your answer on this page: yes or no. | So we honour it, and stop asking. | Until you clear it |
Other people's cookies
None. We run no advertising and no cross-site tracking, and nothing on this site follows you elsewhere. We do use Cloudflare Web Analytics for page counts, and it was chosen precisely because it stores nothing on your device — which is why it is not in either table above. Payment is handled by Paddle, and it sets its own cookies only on its own checkout page, once you open one.
What reaches us, and for how long
If you accept, each page view sends us the random number, which page you opened, in which language, and the name of the site that sent you — never the full address you came from. No IP address and no device fingerprint. All of it is deleted after 90 days.
Changing your mind
Use the Manage cookies link at the bottom of any page. It takes one click, the same as agreeing did, and declining deletes the cookie immediately. Your browser's own settings can clear everything on this page at any time as well.
